Manufactured by the Chevrolet Motor Division, General Motors Coroporation of Detroit, Michigan.
This truck is a 1 1/2 ton special (it features the brakes of the 2 ton models) and has a 13,000
G.V.W. A Chevrolet built 235 C.I.D., in line six-cylinder engine that develops 93 horsepower
powers it. It is equipped with a four-speed transmission and a vacuum over hydraulic braking
system. The bed on this truck is termed a "beaver tail" bed because of the built-in angled ramps.
This truck had been used in the Fallbrook/Vista area before being brought out to the Museum.
This truck is from the first year of production with this new post-World War II streamlined
body style.
