
1947 Allis-Chalmers HD5B.
Manufactured by Allis-Chalmers Mfg. Co., Milwaukee, Wisc. The HD5B featured a two-
cylinder, two-cycle, I-head Detroit Diesel engine with 4 1/4" x 5" bore and
stroke. With a weight of 11,815 pounds and a five-speed transmission, this tractor produced
30.22 drawbar and 47.85 belt horsepower at a rated speed of 1,800 rpm. The HD5B was tested by the University
