Serial #13A1291. The University of Nebraska tested the D-8 in 1949 and it produced 99 drawbar horsepower. The bare weight of the tractor was 39,915 (without the blade or winch). It uses a six-cylinder Caterpillar diesel engine with a 5 3/4" x 8" bore and stroke. This is a former San Diego Gas & Electric tractor. Owned by the Museum.
