1873 Ferrar and Trefts
This 15 horsepower steam engine was manufactured in Buffalo, New York. It arrived in California's oil fields by sailing ship via Cape Horn. Owned by Larry Thomson, who acquired it from Mr. Carl Bergman, Lancaster, Ca., who acquired it from Standard Oil Co. in Pico Canyon, Ca. On loan to the Museum.
