
International Harvester Model LB 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 H.P.
Manufactured by International Harvester Co., Chicago, Illinois. The Model LB engine was the replacement for the previous LA engines. These engines
were of enclosed crankcase design and self-lubricating. The LB
was produced from 1941 to 1948 in two sizes, 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 and 3 - 5 H.P. 85,905 1 1/2 -
2 1/2 engines were built. The LB held 1 1/2 quarts of oil, 2 gallons of gasoline, and 4 gallons of water.
Among the options available were an integral pump jack and a supplementary radiator cooling system for extended
operation.
