1951 John Deere Model R.
Serial number 6906. The R was John Deere's first diesel tractor and featured a two-cylinder horizontal engine with a 5 3/4" x 8" bore and stroke, which was rated at 1000 rpm. The 7,600 pound tractor produces 48 1/2 belt horsepower and features a five-speed transmission. Owned by the Museum. Donated by James B. Duffy III.
