1927 Thurmoil Model UA
7 horsepower at 500 rpm. Manufactured by the Hercules Gas Engine Co., Evansville, Indiana. This is an oil engine built to run on kerosene (or darn near anything else flammable). Early models were plagued with broken crankshafts and other mechanical problems. They were produced in few numbers and required a competent operator. It uses the Hvid fuel system. The Cummins Diesel Engine Company got their start with these types of engines. Owned by Greg Parsons, City of Industry, California.
